Wicked

A few weeks ago, I saw a show at the Pantages Theater, one of Hollywood’s most iconic theaters situated right along the Hollywood Walk of Fame. If you have never been to the Pantages, I highly recommend seeing a show there. It is the epitome of Old Hollywood glamor and absolutely stunning in every way. The theater is adorned with gold decorative details and rich red carpet that makes you feel like you stepped back in time. I went to the Pantages with my mom, my aunt, and my cousin to see Wicked, one of Broadway’s most successful shows that whisks you back to the land of Oz. I am discovering that I have a love for theater, and I pretty much want to see everything that comes to town. At this point, I have seen WickedHamilton, and Les Misérables, and I will be seeing Kinky Bootsin about a month. However, what was just as much fun as the show itself was the dinner we all went to at the end of the night. I had made reservations at CATCH LA, a trendy seafood restaurant in West Hollywood. The playful and sexy ambiance perfectly complements the mouthwatering food. While sipping on a grapefruit spritz, I enjoyed every round of food that came our way. My particular favorites were the sashimi with truffles (a special for the evening), the mushroom pasta, and the “Hit Me” dessert.

Just as sexy as the restaurant, I donned a look that is a little more risqué than I usually go for. I decided to rock a slinky white tank with a very deep V-neckline and my favorite pair of jeans. Perfect for girls’ night or date night, this tank is sure to draw eyes. The deep V gives the otherwise polished white tank top an interesting edge, and the lace detail adds a delicate touch to a piece that is already a bold statement. I played up the edgy vibe of my outfit by donning a suede moto jacket that I really think completed the look. I bought this top at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale over the summer, but I knew its maiden voyage needed to be a memorable night just like this one. I am especially looking forward to wearing it during warm summer nights out to dinner and a friend’s birthday coming up. Side note: For any readers thinking they love the top but are concerned about what bra to even wear with that neckline, I had the same concerns! However, the sticky breast petals from Target were such an easy fix. The best part is that I didn’t even have to wear a bra the whole night, which is the ultimate victory! Am I right ladies?

Thankful for a fun night out, I love spending time with my family, and memories like these make me especially appreciative for the wonderful people in my life. I feel very lucky to have such a wonderful and supportive family, and I am very grateful for their role in my life.

xx
