Hello everyone, I’m Emily! As you all read this blog, I hope that you come to know me as that fun-loving girl, whose goal is to make her real life look like the life her virtual-self lives on Pinterest. In a nutshell, I’m an athletic, slightly nerdy, cat-loving, girly girl from Southern California. I grew up in Orange County, California, but I will always say that I’m from LA because it’s where my memory-making years were. Nowadays, I live in San Francisco, but it is only until I have finished law school.
I created this lovely little place to share my thoughts on the various passions in my life in a lifestyle blog. From fashion and beauty to books and travel, I plan to showcase my favorites, share them with each of you, and maybe even inspire others to follow their own passions.
Keep reading to learn some fun facts about me!

FAQ
When and why did you decide to start a blog?
I started the blog in January 2018 as a way of documenting my life as I make my way through adulthood and showcasing the things that I love. When I started the blog, I knew I wanted to do a lifestyle blog with an emphasis on fashion and life in Los Angeles, but I also wanted to make sure that there was a space for the other important things in my life, including fitness, traveling, and reading. In a way, this place has served as an online journal for my experiences, and I look forward to having the blog grow with me.
Where did you go to college and what did you decide to major in?
I graduated from UCLA June 2020 (Go Bruins!) with a degree in economics. However, I wasn’t always sure about my major. I started college as a physics major, but I didn’t want to study it for the rest of my life. I decided to switch to economics because I liked how versatile of a degree it was when it came to career options. However, I am now in law school, and I will graduate from UC Hastings in 2024.
Where do you get your inspiration?
Everywhere! I love how diverse it is in Los Angeles (and most big cities for that matter). Because everyone beats a little bit to their own drum, you can get inspired just from someone you pass on the street. However, Morgan Stewart, Meghan Markle, Amal Clooney, and Carin Olsson (@parisinfourmonths) are definitely a few of my fashion inspirations. When it comes to aesthetics and photography, I absolutely love the art Slim Aarons, Natalie Obradovich, Riley Harper, and Carin Olsson capture.
How would you describe your style?
Growing up, I dressed like the typical California beach kid in denim and t-shirts with the occasional sundress thrown in there and a rotating cast of sweatshirts for the colder months. Now that I am older, my style is becoming more classic, chic, and feminine, but it still has an edge. To see the trends and fashion that I am currently obsessing over, I suggest taking a look at my Pinterest to get a better idea of where my interests are evolving.
What are some of your favorite stores?
Nordstrom, Revolve, Shopbop, Banana Republic, Express, Anthropologie, H&M, Lululemon, and the list continues to grow!
What is your favorite work out?
Historically, SoulCycle and Barry’s Bootcamp have been my go-to’s, but I also like to switch it up with yoga, pilates, or a run. Since moving to San Francisco, I have joined Equinox and am holding myself accountable with Anna Victoria’s Fit Body app, which I highly recommend!
What is your favorite place you have visited?
Internationally, it’s Paris! It is honestly a very easy answer. I fell in love with Paris the moment I got to the city. In the US, LA and Manhattan are my absolute favorite places. Washington DC is a close third on that list too.
What is something we might not know about you?
I love to craft! I do a lot of knitting and crocheting. I’m by no means an expert, but I like to work on my little projects while I watch TV. I think I like it so much because I’m creating something. I enjoy the creative process and having a finished product to work towards.
Do you have any guilty pleasures?
I have seen Gossip Girl more times than I care to admit! I also love architecture and real estate, so I have a lot of fun walking or driving around neighborhoods and admiring pretty houses. I like to call it fantasy house shopping.
